source: International Centre for Theoretical Sciences 2017年10月20日
Date and Time: 19 October 2017, 10:00 - 13:00
Venue: Ramanujan Lecture Hall, ICTS Bangalore
The recent detection of gravitational waves from a merging binary neutron star system, along with follow-up observations in the full frequency band of the electromagnetic spectrum mark the dawn of multimessenger astronomy. In celebration of this wonderful milestone in astronomy, ICTS is organizing a half-day scientific event. The event will feature several talks summarizing the gravitational and electromagnetic observations, accessible to general scientists and scientifically inclined public.
32:15 Observations of gravitational-wave from a binary neutron star inspiral by Parameswaran Ajith
31:51 Multimessenger observations of GW170817 (remote talk) by Varun Bhalerao
31:09 What did we learn about GRB170817A from its association with GW170817 by K. G. Arun
37:21 Probing the densest from of matter with gravitational waves by Sukanta Bose
32:54 A standard siren measurement of the Hubble parameter by Archisman Ghosh
