Sellars' Theory of Conceptual Change

James O'Shea (University College Dublin) gives a talk on the work of Wilfrid Sellars and his account of conceptual change (theory change in science), abstract objects, the myth of the Given, McDowell's "Mind and World", and the relation between the manifest image of ordinary common sense objects & the scientific image of mindless meaningless particles.
This talk was given at the College de France.
