Dark Energy and the Accelerating Universe with Robert Kirshner | CfA
source: Harvard University 2014年3月27日
The universe began with a bang, but how will it end? In 1998 astronomers were surprised to find evidence of a strange force accelerating the universe, now known as dark energy. Robert Kirshner was a key member of the High-Z Supernova Team, one of two groups that discovered dark energy. He discussed their work at an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the cosmic microwave background. Part of the Observatory Night lecture series at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
